“…. what other shockers are in store….?” How about socialism for ordinary US citizens, instead of only for the hyper-rich? How about facing the geophysical fact that the Great God Growth is dead. Already. Without hope of resurrection? How about the idea that markets and commercial corporate approaches are +often+ the worst possible way to deal with problems, and bound to fail? How about expropriation of the hyper-rich minority who actually run the hollowed-out shell of the US republic, and their deposing from power, and in their place the institution of actual, real democracy in USAmerica, where the majority preferences of the citizens are actually applied as policy — for the first time in its history? How about the final destruction of the PR/media propaganda system, and its replacement with a set of genuinely-free, truth-telling media? Nah! Flying pigs and freezing hell are relatively easy. But it will take quite a bit more suffering — which is coming — before USAmericans can start to think these unthinkables of the real world. Good luck!”
